My Story

I have been curious about nutrition and fitness since I can remember. In athletics, I discovered that if I ate in a certain way, my performance improved: I ran faster, lifted heavier, and recovered faster than my peers who survived off of pizza and soda. This pathway led me to tackling my first degree in Exercise Science from the University of Montana. I went on to teach many formats of Group Fitness, personal train full-time, and open a gym with a team of fellow fitness fanatics. I was discovered by CrossFit HQ to be part of the seminar staff, where I worked for 13 years. All of this afforded me the opportunity to work with thousands of people on how to move and fuel their bodies to become healthier over time.

In 2016, my kids were old enough to start participating in more activities, I knew my travel job with CrossFit would need to come to an end, so I decided to go back to school to get my degree in nursing. I started my first nursing job in 2020 (what a year to start!) and absolutely love it. Nursing has given me a deeper understanding of the human body, as well as  the huge spectrum of health problems people can experience as they age, the medications prescribed to help combat these issues, and steps needed to work through these problems. All of this has driven me to work harder to help others PREVENT these health problems from arising, as well as help people work through them after they do.  I have gotten to celebrate alongside many of my clients when we were able to shock their doctor with improved health markers and lower their doses of insulin, blood pressure medications, and cholesterol medications.

My husband, Cameron, and I blended our families, so I have three kids, three amazing bonus kids, as well as two bonus grand babies I adore. Being blessed with such a big family leaves me greatly valuing not only parents being healthy, but passing along those healthy habits to their children. This is a large part of my coaching program as it is incredibly important we pass healthy habits down to the next generation.
